From the dawn of modern physics, call it the Newtonian - Einstein era to the present, if there is one conclusion most scientists agree on is the preciseness of the formulation and relationship of the elementary particles. Where if the most minute of measurements were off by the slightest fraction, the formation of the universe would not have taken place. This has lead many to the conclusion there must have been a designer. But hey that's not cool for a scientist. You mean the Bible's God?
Moving from science to philosophy, what about those famous atheists we all know and love. Richard Dawson; The Universe we observe has precisely the properties we would expect, no design, no purpose, no evil , no good. Biologist William Provine (Cornell); Modern evolutionary biology tells us loud and clear, there are no gods, there is no purpose, no goal directed forces of any kind, no ultimate foundation for ethics, no ultimate meaning in life. Alexander Rosenberg Philosophy Professor (Duke); What is purpose of the universe - there is none, what is the meaning of life - there is none, does history have any meaning or purpose - It's full of sound and fury. Bertrand Russell; Life is purposeless, void of meaning. Mans origin, his growth, his hopes and fears, his loves and his beliefs, are but the outcome of accidental collocations of atoms destined to extinction.
So where are we going with this, we'll just let the short video explain it. You may be surprised. It seems science is proving to be an embarrassment to atheists. - S.E.
